Jessica and Ryan are married

From the moment I saw Ryan and Jessica in the morning I knew we were going to have a great day together.

Ryan played baseball in the morning before his wedding and then partied all day and night. Amazing energy level!

Jessica was stunning and the bridesmaids turned every head.

After the ceremony we stopped at a tavern by SeaCliff beach in Leamington, got a few shots (photos that is) and then walked down to the pier.

Check out a few of their awesome wedding photos.

Jessica and Ryan, thanks for an extremely fun wedding day!

Sarah and Michael are married

Filed under Uncategorized, Wedding Photography, Weddings • Written by folandsphotography @ 4:00 pm

What do vintage automobiles and Chinese tea parties have in common? Well, I’m not sure but both were present at Sarah and Michael’s wedding in Chatham Ontario.

The weather was PERFECT and the wedding couple looked as good as the weather.

After the ceremony Sarah and Michael were chauffeured in a vintage Chrysler. I happen to love old cars so I felt right at home.

When we arrived at the reception at the Retro Suites Hotel we were met by the Chatham Town Crier. This was the most amazing reception introduction I have ever seen!

At the end of the ceremony everyone lined up outside, lit sparklers and saw the happy couple off to a lifetime of happiness.

Sarah and Michael, it was an amazing day and thank you for having me there to celebrate with you.

Dan and Jennifer’s Wedding

Filed under Wedding Photography, Weddings • Written by folandsphotography @ 6:14 pm

On Saturday, May 16, I had the pleasure of celebrating Dan and Jennifer’s wedding. The ceremony was at St. Joe’s River Canard and the day started our with rain. In fact, the wedding planners from A Perfect Day brought extra large umbrellas and shielded the bride and bridesmaids on the way into the church.

I always enjoy doing a group photo on the steps of St. Joe’s after the ceremony and guess what, the rain stopped, the ground dried up and we got an awesome group photo of everyone that attended.

After the ceremony we dropped by the Windsor Art Gallery for some playtime photos. The lighting in the glass room is spectacular with the view of the Detroit Skyline.

Off to the Ciociaro Club in Windsor for the reception where we ate a great meal and celebrated.

Thanks Jen and Dan for having me at your wedding–it was my honor to be there.

Here’s Dan early in the morning and ready to get married.

Jessica and Luis are married

Filed under Uncategorized, Wedding Photography, Weddings • Written by folandsphotography @ 6:03 pm

Jessica and Luis are both physical fitness trainers and it really shows. They were going strong all day (and their photographer had to keep up with them).

Their wedding ceremony was at St. Anne’s in Tecumseh and right after Jessica and Luis had a dove release. This is one of the most exciting group photos I have ever done. Just look at everyone’s face in the photo.

After the ceremony we headed down to the Art Gallery in Windsor, Ontario. As a wedding photographer I LOVE shooting here. There is so much to work with. As we were leaving Jessica, Luis and I were walking down the stairs and I saw an amazing light coming through the window. I stood on the stairway (above Jessica and Luis) and caught the photo below. The instant I hit the trigger I knew I created art work for them. Sometimes photos are like sweet poetry.

After the art gallery we went to the Keg and as they say, the rest of the night was history.

Jessica and Luis, your wedding my my last wedding for 2009. Thanks for ending the year with a huge bang–I completely enjoyed covering your wedding.

Stephanie and Steve’s Wedding

Filed under Wedding Photography, Weddings • Written by folandsphotography @ 5:31 pm

On October 4th I had the pleasure of covering Stephanie and Steve’s wedding. Their ceremony was held outdoor at Willistead Manor in Windsor, Ontario. It was a bright sunny day and the temperature was cool and mild.

After the ceremony we headed inside where Stephanie and Steve heated things up a little. As you can see from the photos they are an amazingly photogenic couple. Willistead Manor is just beautiful inside and no matter how many weddings I cover there I always find some new angle or pose to use.

Stephanie and Steve, It was a wonder wedding and I hope you love your photos.

Lauri and Randy’s Wedding

How do you spell fun: L A U R I   A N D   R A N D Y

The entire wedding day was a BLAST. I started shooting with the guys and they pretty much kept me going and laughing all day. After that, I traveled an entire 1.5 minutes to where Lauri was getting ready. The girls were out of sight and Larui was DDG (Drop Dead Gorgeous).

The ceremony was held outside and the weather was mild with an overcast. Just as Larui and Randy were pronouned husband and wife the sun broke through the clouds. Talk about awesome timing.

The reception was getting down big time with the band, Hail Mary. The ROCKED BIG TIME!

Now for the news. Randy does the best air guitar I’ve every seen. (See the large photo below) Go Randy.

What a great day! Thanks Lauri and Randy.

Leah and Clint’s Wedding

Filed under Weddings • Written by folandsphotography @ 8:38 pm

On July 19th, 2008 I had the extreme pleasure of covering the wedding of Leah and Clint. I didn’t actually meet Clint until the wedding day. By the end of the day I felt as if we were old buds.

It was raining in Windsor, Ontario in the morning and we couldn’t get photos outside. So, I had the guys gather around the table for a getting ready drink. I told them to ignore me and have some fun. The photo on the top of the collage proofs just how easy it is to ignore the photog!!!

Later I traveled to where the girls were getting ready and was totally stoked when I saw the bridesmaids yellow dresses. It was fun, fun, fun all day.

The ceremony was at St. Anne’s Church in Tecumseh, Ontario. I love this church because the steps outside offer a great place to shoot a group photo of everyone that attended the ceremony.

Off to Essex Golf Course in LaSalle, Ontario for a dance filled reception. Leah and Clint did something that I had never seen before. All the guests were gathered in the cocktail area outside the dining room. The Band leader announced them into the room and they had their first dance with everyone crowded around. It was wonderful for their first dance photos.

Leah and Clint – Thank you for sharing your wedding day with me. All the best to your future.

Jenny and Richard’s Engagement Photos

Filed under Weddings • Written by folandsphotography @ 7:04 am

Let’s give the term “A fun time at the beach” a whole new meaning. Jenny and Richard wanted photos at the beach for their engagement session. So, we headed over to Seacliff Park in Leamington. I got there a little early and saw hundreds of seagulls sitting on the beach. I thought how cool would it be for Jenny and Richard to run through a flock of birds. I setup the shot and away they went.

After that, we played and had a great time. I even got Jenny and Richard very wet while I had them play in the water. They had so much fun they jumped for joy—see the collage.

I wonder if they can do this in a wedding dress and tux?

Thanks Jenny and Richard for an entire beach of fun!

Lindsay and Dan’s Wedding

Filed under Weddings • Written by folandsphotography @ 12:28 pm

The day started off with nice enough weather wise but the threat of storms lurked all day. Lindsay and Dan celebrated their wedding at the Faith Mennonite Church in Leamington. After the ceremony we headed to Lake Erie and took photos by the water. We rushed a little to beat the storm. I packed up my Canon gear just in time to see the first few rain drops.

Then it was off to the reception at Orchard View Gold Course. The storm rolled in with a fury. The tent was shaking, the walls were flapping and the tent stakes were coming out of the ground. Dan and the groomsmen got busy with heavy equipment and secure the tent.

After some time the storm passed over to a gentle rain. Eventually the sun came out and we even had a few moments to go out and take a few more photos.

Lindsay and Dan, you have weathered your first storm. Thank you for a VERY exciting day!

Cristina and David’s Wedding

Filed under Weddings • Written by folandsphotography @ 5:01 pm

On June 14th after a morning of rain, Cristina and David were met with amazing weather. The entrire day was just wonderful and not too hot.

I arranged for the two of them to meet at Reaume Park in Windsor, Ontario before the ceremony. I positioned David with his back to the road then Cristina’s car pulled up. After situating Cristina (and making David wait for what felt like a lifetime) I said, “David, turn around and see your bride”. The tears, the crying and the sobs were unbelievable AND THAT WAS JUST FROM ME!

After that we took some time, wondered around the park and I captured some amazing photos of Cristina and David.

The ceremony was held outdoors at the Fogolar Furlan Club in Windsor, Ontario. The setting was intimate, and quiet.

Thanks Cristina and David for allowing me to capture your wonderful wedding day.
